The Project Space is available for exhibitions and other events that contribute to the development of artistic community in Woolloomooloo. We will accept informal expressions of interest from studio artists and community organisations on an ongoing basis to develop the Project Space annual program.
Rather than booking in exhibitions up to 6 months in advance, the Project Space will be programmed responsively, in response to the needs and desires of the community.
Firstdraft aims to engage and activate arts communities and local communities through a dynamic program that encourages participation and engagement at every level.
Preference will be given to projects which:
Expressions of interest will be accepted year-round, and considered by the board on an ongoing basis. The success of applications is solely at the discretion of the board and although we will happy give feedback to unsuccessful applicants the decisions of the board are final.
Please keep proposals to a maximum of 2 A4 pages, outlining what you plan to do, the artists involved, and how you plan to do it.
Fees will be negotiated on a sliding scale for community, not-for-profit and commercial hirers.
